"Alamo Country School has been a great experience for my daughter and my family. I have to admit it was hard to let go at first. I wanted my child to be exposed to other children and develop with her peers but I was used to knowing 24/7 what was going on with her. When we first enrolled our 2 year old, we had her go 3 days a week. The first 2 weeks were the hardest, for her and for me. The teachers sent me pictures and text updates through the school app which helped. Within 2 weeks I found myself picking my daughter up later and later because she didn’t want to come home yet, which was a bitter sweet relief for me. Some mornings are hard, some mornings my daughter doesn’t want me to leave, but that feeling fades fast. The teachers are good at comforting the children in these hard mornings. I heard Miss Ruth say to my daughter, "do you want a hug?” I turned around and saw her bend down and spread her arms and my child ran to her with a huge smile. It warmed my heart that they get her.
Alamo Country School has gone above and beyond for me and my family. When I first enrolled my daughter, she was suffering from a chronic medical condition and I needed to track what she ate, drank, how much and how often she slept. I needed to know in order to manage her condition and the teachers at ACS were more than willing to help. Miss Kim and Ms Nguyen have been more than happy to send me before and after pictures of her lunch. I got random pictures of her eating during snack time as well as pictures of her in her activities. They reported her water intake and were aware of the side effects of her medication and always kept me in the loop.
After about 9 months, and after her 3rd birthday I moved my daughter to 5 days a week. Her development seems to be moving along even faster than before and the projects Ms Nguyen has her doing has really impressed me. She has been using scissors and drawing in the lines. She seems more focused all in all. My daughter’s medical condition seems to have run its course and I no longer need the constant updates, but if I did, I’m confident the school would provide assistance.
Thank you Lisa and the staff at ACS for always going above and beyond, for making the transition from home to school an easy process."
"Our two children spent over four years under the guidance, tutelage and support of this wonderful school. The sincere caring/nurturing attitude is overseen by the Director, Lisa Page, and reinforced by the entire staff. My wife and I would like to express our gratitude for those years that they have cared for our two children and we strongly recommend Alamo Country School to any parent looking for such a school."

"This charming school is full of character. The setting alone feels like you landed in a children's book. It has a beautiful vegetable garden, large play structure and huge sandbox. The students are surrounded by many carvings from a former woodworking artist that owned the building previously. Each room is unique and inspiring.
The grounds however do not overshadow the superior staff. We have had 3 children attend this school over the last 8 years and each time it is time to send them off to Kindergarten it is not without shedding several tears. The staff has been consistent for all 8 years. This speaks volumes about their dedication and love of teaching in such a warm environment. The student to teacher ratio is small which is so effective in building a strong foundation for learning. The staff treats each child individually and does not use a one size all approach. The school is very organized and the curriculum is spot on with each age group. The students are more than ready to attend Kindergarten each fall. More than this, the love and genuine concern the teachers show the students and their families is worth its weight in gold."

"We have two children in Alamo Country School. The oldest has been there for 2 years and the youngest for just under one year. I am confident in saying that my experiences with ACS have been nothing but positive. All of our future children will be attending ACS. We are deciding on where our home is going to be based on its proximity to ACS. Not sure if that is enough, then let me tell you about the people. Every teacher (even if not your child's teach) will commit themselves to your child. Learning your children's name, learning their personality, taking the time to be a mentor to that child. Preschool, in my mind should be similar to a village. ACS has shown me that the teachers treat each child like one of their own children. Making sure to discipline when necessary and praise when necessary. And they communicate with the parents to meet the parents needs and objectives. Also, they communicate with the parents to help the at school to at home transition. For example, they work with the parents on different habits to enhance the good habits and eliminate the bad habits.
Most important, my kids want to go to school. They love their teachers and they are excited to see them everyday. They don't whine, they don't cry. As a parent, knowing that my kids are in good hands puts my mind at ease." May, 2012

"Our two children went to Alamo Country School (ACS), and it was a wonderful experience. ACS has the perfect balance of structured learning and unstructured play. My children were well prepared for the transition to public school, and we always felt our kids were well loved. Thank you ACS!"

"ACS is family to us. Our three kids went here. The staff is so genuine and loving. My kids were all cared for and excited to learn. They were well prepared for Kindergarten; socially and academically. In addition to the regular schedule, there are on-site programs for the kids to opt into, which kept the days and years fresh for my kids. The staff are professional and compassionate. This place has got kids right!"

"My daughter has been attending Alamo Country school since she was two years old. She started out in the youngest class and has continued through to the pre-K class. The Director and teachers at ACS are so wonderful, supportive and flexible to meet the needs of working parents. I cannot say enough great things about this school. The school has been a great fit for my daughter and for me. They also offer a variety of extra activities which is extremely helpful because your child can be exposed to a multitude of activities without you driving all over town."

"We loved our experience at Alamo Country School and highly recommend it. We toured a few preschools but chose ACS. We feel it strikes the right balance between education and playfulness. We have a high-energy kiddo and wanted to make sure she would be in an environment that gave her ample opportunity to run around and express herself. We found that at ACS, and she thrived! She *loved* her teachers. She learned a lot -both academically and emotionally -at ACS. We also appreciated the enrichment opportunities -special classroom guests over the summer and the opportunity to sign her up for activities like yoga and soccer. And I can't say enough good things about how well-run the school is from an administrator standpoint. It was always so easy to get in touch with the director, Ms. Lisa, and Ms. Amala if we had any concerns."
